COLAS MODERN is a family owned art and design studio dedicated to producing contemporary furniture and decor.
Our Story
Founders David and Lara Colas met in Savannah, GA while sharing their passion for art and design. The husband and wife design duo first worked together in 2012 to exhibit David’s furniture collection prior to graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design. They continue to use their combined skills in art and design to produce products that tell a unique story of their family history and current experiences while raising their children, Maximilien and Rose.
History
The COLAS family history of craftsmanship dates back to the 1700’s in Blois, France where David’s artisan roots began . Follow our Journal to learn more about this unique history that drives our dedication to quality, continuing a legacy of fine French craftsmanship.

Local Production
The COLAS MODERN studio serves as a creative atelier and production facility in Savannah, GA where we design and hand-build our products using woodworking and metal working techniques combined with laser technology.
